A Legacy of Excellence Since 1971

"

As we continue to build on our rich heritage, Kiambu High School remains committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel academically, embrace integrity, and contribute meaningfully to society. Our mission is to inspire every student to discover their potential and pursue excellence in all endeavors.

— Mr. Joshua Maina Ndiritu, Chief Principal

The idea of Kiambu High School was conceived in 1968 by a group of Kiambu leaders and prominent citizens who recognised the need for a quality boys' secondary school in the district. The school was formally established in 1971, opening its doors with the first cohort of students on its 35-acre campus in Kiambu County.

Built under the Open Plan System with Canadian development assistance, the school's distinctive architecture set it apart from the outset. Initially a mixed school, Kiambu High School was converted to an all-boys institution in 1993.

KHSAF — Stronger Together

The Kiambu High School Alumni Foundation (KHSAF) was established in 1976, just five years after the school opened its doors. What started as a simple desire to stay connected has grown into one of Kenya's most active school alumni networks.

In 2023, the association underwent a significant transformation — rebranding from the Kiambu High School Old Boys Association (KHSOBA) to the Kiambu High School Alumni Foundation (KHSAF), reflecting a forward-looking vision of philanthropy, mentorship, and institutional development.
